A list of our most frequently asked questions.

  1. Question:
Why should I locate in downtown Kinston rather than run an office from my home?

    Answer:
You get premium office space and a professional business address in a state-of-the-art facility that is located in a safe, accessible location.

  2. Question:
Why should I locate my business in the Kinston Enterprise Center rather than rent a building on my own?

    Answer:
There are several good reasons. Sharing incubator amenities reduces your capital outlay for equipment. You have access to the latest technology without having to pay additional charges for basic services. Special training, business support services, and technical assistance are also available on site to help you succeed.

  3. 3. Question:
    How expensive is the rent?

    Answer:
Rental rates are very affordable. Offices without windows rent for $8.50 a square foot per year, and suites with windows rent for $10 per square foot per year. Utilities, basic telephone service, and Internet access are included in the rent.

  4. Question:
Can I enter the building before of after normal business hours?

    Answer:
Yes, with the understanding that you become responsible for the security of the facility at the time of entrance, while on premises, and again upon leaving.

  5. Question:
What if my business grows, and I need more space?

    Answer:
The office suites have moveable partitions to allow for business growth. As long as adjacent space is available, you may expand.

  6. Question:
    Is the lease flexible?

    Answer:
Yes, management will work with tenants. When it is felt the tenant is ready for a private facility, the lease agreement may be renegotiated.

  7. Question:
If I stay in the facility for the full three years, will my rent go up each year?

    Answer:
Those tenants who sign agreements prior to December 31, 2002, will have the privilege of a base rent for a period of three years. Tenants signing after December 31, 2002, will start with a base rent of $8.50 or $10 and the rent will be raised each year at the anniversary date of the lease.
